You know how with long time friends you can go weeks or months or even a year or two without hanging out but then jump right back into your friendship. Let’s do that. I’m going to skip all the chit chat about how I’ve been busy and just get right to the good stuff. These last 6 months, I’ve been:
Doing a ton of photography work and I particularly loved working on this piece in Taipei for WSJ Off Duty last year, mostly because in the process of shooting it I got to eat everything delicious.
This month, I’ve been falling down an epic, internet, skin care rabbit hole ever since Eli shared this article with me. I now use this face wash, this snail goop and this under eye cream and my skin looks almost as good as it did when I used to get monthly peels except I don’t have the 2 days of irritation to deal with afterwards. It’s amazing.
Realizing that I never want to own a studio space but I’m not sure how to square that with my budding ceramics obsession. I’m smitten with every single thing on this list and I’ve been making major eyes at this plate, all of these items, this gorgeous green dinnerware set and lots of things on here. Where will I put all these things some day if I don’t have a studio space?!
Really excited about all the women candidates for the 2020 presidential election and particularly hyped that Kamala Harris finally announced her run. Also, I’ve been cheering on every @aoc tweet.
Trying to find time to read all of the most clicked articles on Longform. It’s a wild list.
Ogling all the homes in California that Eli sends my way as a way to deal with the frigid and grey days of Chicago. I would very much like to know the future owners of this place in Santa Barbara or this spot in San Francisco so I can be their winter house guest.
Diversions is my way of sharing links of interesting things that I’ve come across recently. To see past diversions or subscribe visit https://tinyletter.com/AdventuresOnceHad.
Till next time,
